Wool Felt

Wool Felts, owing to the natural fiber structure of wool, meet a wide range of technical requirements — such as absorbing and retaining liquids, retaining steam and moisture, sound and heat insulation, vibration absorption, and high resistance to pressure and friction — and therefore find use across many areas of industry.

Technical wool press felts are produced in roll form in every thickness and at various densities. Roll felts are produced from white natural wool and grey natural wool. In addition, production is also carried out in sheet form at various densities. Sheets are generally manufactured at high density. For certain special applications, endless wool felts serve as the most important component of many machines, either as endless felt belts produced by the pressing method or by the cord-reinforced weaving method.
